MMA and MIM Hold Seminar on Macau Labour Relations Law

On 7 July 2026, the Macau Management Association (MMA) and the Macau Institute of Management (MIM), with funding from the Macao Foundation, held a seminar at the MIM Lecture Hall, which was well received.

The speaker was Mr. Chio Song Meng, a practising lawyer in Macao and the Guangdong‑Hong Kong‑Macao Greater Bay Area, also a private notary and accredited mediator.

The seminar covered core provisions of Macao’s Labour Relations Law—rights and duties, leave, termination, and dispute resolution. In the Q&A, Mr. Chio addressed practical queries on working hours, overtime, and leave, stressing the principle of good faith. The event enhanced participants’ understanding, fostering harmonious labour relations, and the organisers plan to continue such legal awareness seminars to support Macao’s sustainable development.
