GEG and MMA Lead YAP Participants on Visit to the Cultural Affairs Bureau
Representatives from Galaxy Entertainment Group and MMA, alongside student representatives from the “15th GEG Youth Achievement Program” (YAP), on a visit to the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macau SAR Government, where they were received by Ms. Leong Wai Man, Director of the Cultural Affairs Bureau. During the meeting, the participant representatives reported on the program’s latest developments and engaged in discussions and shared insights regarding Macao’s “1+4” appropriate diversification development strategy. Director Leong commended the program’s direction and achievements in nurturing young talents. She affirmed its role in promoting “New Popular Literature and Art”, and encouraged all parties to continue advancing the work, supporting youth cultural and arts education, and inspired participants to actively learn, explore, and devote themselves to relevant industries as key pillars of future development.
Now in its 15th year, YAP has engaged over 3,800 local youths to date. Under this year’s theme, “Cultural Heritage, Careers Set Sail”, the program has organized a range of activities, including intangible cultural heritage workshops on Dragon’s Beard Candy and Portuguese Folk Dance, alongside arts and cultural study tours to Lingnan and Hong Kong, allowing participants to learn more about intangible cultural heritage and enhancing their cultural awareness.
