MMA Visited the National Security Education Exhibition

To support the Macao SAR Government’s efforts to promote national security education and deepen MMA team members’ understanding of national security, Mr. Tommy Lau, Council Chairman of MMA; Mr. Paul Tse and Mr. Leong Wa Kun, Vice-Presidents of MMA; Mr. Vong Hin Fai, Council Vice-Chairman and Honorary Secretary General of MMA; Dr. Alex Mok, Council Vice-Chairman of MMA; Mr. Keegan Cheang, Council Vice-Chairman and Honorary Treasurer of MMA; Mr. Ho Wai Ip, Council Vice-Chairman of MMA; and Mr. Chum Pak Tak, Council Member of MMA, led the group to visit the 2026 National Security Education Exhibition on April 21. The exhibition was jointly organized by the Macao SAR Government and the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR.

This year’s exhibition, themed “Coordinating Development and Security to Safeguard the New Journey of the 15th Five-Year Plan,” consists of a preface and five thematic sections. It highlights the core principles, key areas, and legal framework of the holistic approach to national security, as well as a comprehensive review of the practical achievements in coordinating development and security at both the national level and within the Macao SAR. For the first time, the exhibition introduced AI-powered robotic docents offering multilingual guided tours, along with displays such as models of domestically built aircraft carriers and interactive technology zones. These features enhanced visitors’ understanding that national security serves as the foundation of national development and a safeguard for people’s well-being.

Mr. Lau stated that safeguarding national security must begin with education. Through this exhibition, staff members are able to gain a deeper understanding of the holistic approach to national security and appreciate the country’s remarkable achievements in both security and development. This further strengthens their sense of responsibility toward the nation and Macao’s development. MMA will continue to actively support and implement national security education initiatives, contributing to the prosperity and stability of Macao society and playing a greater role in ensuring the long-term stability of both the country and the region.
