MMA Young Managers' Club Organized Macao's Traditional Incense Workshop
Organized by MMA Young Managers’ Club (YMC) and sponsored by Macao Foundation, the “Macao's Traditional Incense Workshop” was successfully held on June 14. Ms. Doris Lei, Council Member of MMA and Vice-Chairman of YMC; and Ms. Cecily Tseng, MMA Assistant Secretary General were invited to be the honorable guests. The workshop was well attended by young executives from various industries.
The workshop was conducted by Mr. Wong Keng Si, the head of Papelaria Veng Lei, and introduced to the participants the craftsmanship of incense making and the culture of traditional incense. The workshop is aimed to raising the participants' awareness of the development of Macao's handicraft industry as well as the values behind traditional culture and intangible cultural heritage. They were also encouraged to create their own unique traditional incense. Through this interesting experience sharing, Mr. Wong attempted to tell the story of Macao, adhering to the core principle of preserving tradition and promoting the development of Chinese traditional crafts and culture in Macao.
YMC is one of the special interest groups of MMA, and has been targeting young executives in Macao. It has been promoting the theory and application of management as its purpose, and provides a platform for young executive members to communicate with each other and enhance their professional knowledge. It has been organizing different kinds of group activities to broaden the participants’ horizons and strengthen their management expertise and skills.
