MMA Visited the National Security Education Exhibition
To support the Macao SAR Government's efforts to promote national security education and deeper MMA team members’ understanding of the national security, Mr. Tommy Lau, Council Chairman of MMA; Mr. Alex Mok, Mr. Keegan Cheang, Council Vice-Chairmen of MMA led the group to visit the National Security Education Exhibition on April 17. The exhibition was jointly organized by the Macao SAR Government and the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR.
This year, the exhibition adopts the national theme of “The 10th Anniversary of National Security Education Day: Advancing Towards More In-depth and Effective Implementation” that highlights the latest developments in China over the past year, as well as the historic achievements made over the past decade in national security. Additionally, the Central Government fully acknowledges the work of the Macao SAR Government. With the strong support of the central authorities, the SAR Government has been actively implementing the spirit of President Xi Jinping’s speeches, utilizing Macao’s unique advantages to maintain a high level of security, promoting moderate economic diversification and fosters the core value of patriotism and love for Macao.
Mr. Lau stated that national security is one of the most important cornerstones of national development. The visit aimed to further enhance the awareness of national security among team members, and strengthen their understanding of the country’s overall situation. MMA will continue to firmly respond to the SAR Government in promoting national security education and adhering to the principles of “loving the motherland and loving Macao” while also committing the practice of the “One Country, Two Systems” policy, to effectively maintain the long-term prosperity and stability of Macao society.
