GEG YAP: 13th Award Presentation Ceremony and 14th Kick-off Ceremony
The 13th Award Presentation Ceremony and 14th Kick-off Ceremony of the GEG Youth Achievement Program (YAP) were held on 8 November at the Galaxy International Convention Centre to recognize the participants' outstanding performance in the past year and welcome the new intake.
Mr. Lei Seak Chio, Head of the Occupational Safety and Health Department of the Labour Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government; Ms. O Man Ian, Director of Centre of Experimentation for the Youth of the Education and Youth Development Bureau of the Macao SAR Government; Mr. Zhao Su, Assistant to the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR; Mr. Tommy Lau, Council Chairman of MMA; Mr. Alex Mok, Council Vice Chairman of MMA; Mr. Philip Cheng, Director of GEG; Mr. Kevin Kelley, Chief Operating Officer – Macau of GEG; Mr. Buddy Lam, Director of Corporate Affairs of GEG; and other GEG and MMA management members attended the ceremony.
During the ceremony, GEG and MMA representatives presented various awards to outstanding participants, and this year’s specially introduced a short video competition called “Heart in Macau‧Roots in China”, which encouraged participants to showcase Macau’s unique landscape of historic and cultural significance through visual narratives, telling good stories about Macao.
The 14th YAP, which focuses on“Career Development”and has the theme of “Empowering Technology‧Creating Value,”will include a series of diversified activities to help participants understand the trends and applications of the country’s technological development.
