MMA Spring Dinner 2024

MMA organized the Spring Dinner 2024 on February 22 at Federal Restaurant. Mr. Chui Sai Cheong, President of MMA indicated that the Association will cooperate with the government, enterprises and social organizations to provide diversified professional training services to meet the demand for management talents from all walks of life, and is committed to promoting corporate management and professional development, and assisting in the diversified development of Macao's economy.

 

Mr. Chui Sai Cheong, President of MMA, Mr. Tommy Lau, Council Chairman, Mr. Jackson Tsui, Chairman of MMA Supervisory Board, Mr. Eddie Wong, Mr. Bernie Leong and Mr. Paul Tse, Vice-Presidents of MMA General Assembly, Mr. Vong Hin Fai, Council Vice-Chairman and Honorary Secretary General, Mr. Raymond Bao, Council Vice-Chairman and Honorary Treasurer, Mr. Chan Chak Mo, Mr. Alex Mo, Ms. Simone Ho and Mr. Keegan Cheang, Council Vice-Chairmen of MMA, Mr. Vong Kok Seng, Vice-Chairman of Advisory Board, Mr. Carlos Cid Álvares, Vice-Chairman of Supervisory Board, as well as the responsible person of the media in Macao, representatives of various media organizations, and prominent figures of various sectors of the society were present.

 

Mr. Chui stated that the year 2023 was an exciting year in retrospect, as Macao had welcomed a full recovery, revitalized its society and embarked on the path of development. With a series of measures taken by the S.A.R. Government to revitalize the economy and expand the source of tourists, Macao's visitor arrivals have increased significantly. In addition, the implementation and promotion of the "1+4" policy of appropriate diversified economic development was also accelerate the nurturing of emerging key industries and increase the urgent demand for professional talents. Therefore, MMA will continue to cooperate with the S.A.R. Government, enterprises and professional associations to provide diversified professional training services to meet the demand for management professionals from all walks of life, and to promote the development of corporate management and corporate professionalism in Macao, thereby contributing to the appropriate diversification of the S.A.R.'s economy. In addition, as one of the member organizations of the Asian Association of Management Organizations (AAMO), MMA was elected as the Vice-Chairman of AAMO at last year's council meeting. In the future, MMA will actively participate in more international activities to exert influence and promote regional exchanges, so as to benefit more managers in Macao. On the other hand, the Macao Institute of Management (MMI) has also been actively cooperating with the direction of national development and the policies of the S.A.R. Government, and has always taken the enhancement of professionals in the region, and the promotion of the close integration of politics, industry, academia, and research. Last year, MIM successfully passed the quality assessment conducted by the Education Quality Evaluation Agency of the Ministry of Education, completing the review of all the courses at the current stage ahead of schedule, which confirming the quality standards of the programs offered by MIM. 


This year marks the 75th anniversary of P.R.C., the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao S.A.R., and the 40th anniversary of MMA. We will continue to contribute to the cultivation of local talents and the diversified development of Macao. On the road of development, we are always accompanied by wind and rain. With the strong support from the Central Government, we will surely be able to capitalize on the upturn of the economy and achieve a stable and far-reaching economic development. In the future, I believe that with the support of our motherland and the leadership of the S.A.R. Government, all sectors in Macao will continue to work together, helping and encouraging each other to embrace more opportunities and challenges, and move towards a broader path of development.
